Sleeve box template
A sleeve is a printed band that slides over a tray, a box or the product itself. Enter the inside size of the opening and the sleeve’s length, and the dieline below redraws: four walls and a glue flap, glued into a tube with both ends open. Open it in the Studio to design the wrap and preview it in 3D.

Cutting template: four walls and a 15° glue flap, both ends cut flush and left open. Width and depth are the inside of the opening and length runs along the sleeve. Each wall is creased one board wider so the folded sleeve keeps that inside. Ask your printer to confirm the allowances for their board.
What is a packaging sleeve?
A sleeve (also called a belly band or wrap) is a printed tube with open ends. It slides over a plain tray, box or product and carries the branding, so one stock tray can be relabelled for every product or season. It is common for soap, chocolate, ready meals, apparel and gift sets.
What is on the dieline
The template draws the sleeve as one strip from your measurements.
- Four walls: left, front, right and back.
- A glue flap with 15° tapered ends, glued to the inside of the back.
- Both ends cut flush and left open.
- An adjustable glue flap in the Studio.
- Cut lines and crease lines kept separate, as in the PDF, SVG and DXF exports.
Measuring for a sleeve
Measure the outside of the tray or product the sleeve goes over and add a millimetre or two so it slides on easily: those are the width and depth of the opening. The length is how much of the tray the sleeve covers, from a narrow band to the full length of the box.
Is the sleeve template free?+
Yes. The size picker and dieline here are free. Designing, saving and exporting happen in the Studio with a free account.
What size should the sleeve be?+
The opening should be the outside size of the tray or product plus a little play, so it slides on without catching. Enter that as width and depth, and the length you want the sleeve to cover.
Can I print the inside of the sleeve?+
Yes. Every panel has an outside and an inside surface in the Studio, and the PDF exports either side.
Can I download the dieline?+
Yes. The Studio exports a 1:1 PDF with your artwork, and the cutting template on its own as SVG or DXF.
